It is with great honor and heartfelt gratitude that I step into the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Merced County. As I embrace this next chapter of service, I am both inspired by the legacy of impact our organization has built—and energized by the promise of what we can achieve together moving forward.

At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Merced County, we believe every young person—regardless of background or circumstance—deserves access to a safe, supportive environment where they are empowered to learn, grow, and thrive. We serve as a second home for hundreds of youth in our community, providing trusted mentorship, enriching programs, and opportunities that help shape confident leaders and resilient individuals.

Our work is rooted in a comprehensive approach to youth development. Through high-impact programs in culinary arts, athletics, workforce readiness, digital citizenship, and the arts, we nurture our members’ creativity, curiosity, character, and confidence. Whether it’s learning to prepare a healthy meal, exploring a new career path, expressing identity through art, or developing the skills to thrive in a digital world—our Club Kids gain the tools they need to build a great future.
But the truth is, Club kids can’t do it alone. They need you.

This year’s national message from Boys & Girls Clubs of America says it best: “Club Kids Need You.” They need your belief in them, your investment in their potential, and your voice advocating for their futures. They need mentors, champions, donors, volunteers—people who see their value and walk alongside them on their journey.

Our goal is to help our youth reach their full potential by ensuring they have access to the tools they need to pursue greatness. To the core of our DNA, we believe every child and teen we serve has the potential to do great things, and it is our privilege to invest in opportunities to help them unlock that potential. WHERE WE SERVE
Boys & Girls Clubs of Merced County serves youth and families in the cities of Merced, Planada, Gustine, and Los Banos. These cities are home to the next generation of leaders.
WHY WE EXIST
The Boys & Girls Club of Merced County provides a positive, healthy learning environment for children, and it’s what we’ve done locally since 1993. With each year that passes, our Club curriculum takes progressively longer strides toward strengthening the academic aptitude, physical fitness, health awareness, and career ambitions of our members, preparing them to graduate high school with a plan for their futures. Today, the youth of Merced County are growing up with extraordinary opportunities, some of which also present uncharted risks. With more than 80,000 youth under the age of 18 within our reach in the County, we are called to do everything we can to help as many as possible reach greatness.

Provide a world-class Club Experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who enters our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.
