Current News Merced Toastmasters Clubs
For more than 75 years Boys and Girls Clubs around the world have dedicated one week during the year as National Boys and Girls Club Week to highlight the wonderful programs and talented staff Clubs have to offer to their community.
Our local Club used the week to recognize our core programs and chose one for each day of the week. On Monday, March 31, 2008, our board members sponsored a career fair for the youth of the club. It was phenomenal! Our vendors included representation from UC Merced, Merced College, Educational Employees Credit Union, Citi Bank and more! We also had information on Vocational Training and How to get the most out of School.
Our celebration ended on April 5, 2008 with a parking lot Carnival. We would like to thank Eugene Drummond and the City Parks and Rec Staff along with the Fire Rescue Department for spending an afternoon with our members, parents and staff. We had a great time!!!
